Description

The Himalaya chronograph 671592, an essential model of the historical collection at LIP.
Revisited with a black dial around its two counters, and its 40 mm diameter. The “Himalaya” watch is a flagship model of the Lip collection of yesterday and today. Produced from 1954 to 1973, various models bearing this name were put on the market. This watch will have the particularity of accompanying the sporting challenges of the time and in particular those of mountaineers such as Maurice Herzog.

Presentation

Stick index, logo in white and date window at 12 o’clock offer a perfect balance to the dial, making it harmonious and sporty.

Two dials are engraved at 3 and 9 o’clock and refer respectively to the hours and minutes counters.

The colors, meanwhile, are chosen with great care: the black dial is elegantly highlighted with the silver of the case and hands. Finally, the indexes and the name LIP Himalaya Chronographe in white here provide a final contrast to this sober, modern and infinitely attractive case!

Design

The first particularity of the LIP Himalaya Chronograph is undoubtedly its reinforced glass, giving the case a curved front face. This time, a sapphire crystal was chosen.
