Sundials have always communicated the time thanks to a single hand, which was in fact only a shadow moving on a graduated surface. It was not until the middle of the 13th century that the second minute hand appeared on the dials of our watches, then later that of the seconds. To do what ? In 2001, Manfred Brassler, founder of the Maison MeisterSinger, wondered.
