Information: this version differs from the old model FER2400MW0 which was equipped with Caliber 48743 but lacked manual winding and stop-seconds. The new version FAC0000EW0, equipped with the new Caliber F67, does.
The Bambino collection by Orient needs no introduction. Unmistakable in its style, elegance and simplicity, it is one of our customers’ favorite watches. Following the success of the last two versions, the Japanese manufacturer is now introducing its latest creation: Orient Bambino AC0000EW, also known as FAC0000EW0.
ORIENT BAMBINO – 3rd VERSION
A unique mirror effect obtained by a special treatment applied to the color of the uncluttered, almost minimalist dial underneath a mineral glass dome… this is what makes the Bambino Collection so recognizable. And this automatic’s look is certainly one of the best-realized of the “Classic” range by Orient Watch…
Here, the stick-shaped indexes replace the Roman numerals of the second version and the triangular indexes of the first. The 4 axial indexes, along with 8 others of a lighter aspect, create the perfect balance.
The sobriety of the dial is contrasted by two small but significant details: the shape of the hour and minute hands. A real revolution in modern watchmaking, they are of a style – straight and rectangular, almost casual – often overlooked by contemporary watchmakers. This choice was a real gamble for the designers of the brand, who can now congratulate themselves for such originality…
WEAK POINT CORRECTED
One of the main weak points of quality watches under €300 is their strap. Often overlooked, they represent an expensive area for watchmakers – this cost can all-too-often be reduced by offering poor quality leather.
In this 3rd version, Orient Bambino AC0000EW is an exception to the rule. Indeed, this timekeeper is mounted on a black leather strap of exemplary quality. Stitched on each side, it meets an important requirement for any watchmaking enthusiast looking for a comfortable, elegant and long lasting bracelet…
MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC WINDING
PRESENCE OF A STOP-SECOND
This Bambino would not be living up to the image of its house without paying close attention to the heart of the product: a high-quality movement. Naturally, Orient Watch has used its new “in-house” movement, the F67 Caliber, when upgrading to its latest collections.
This movement enjoys two very popular functions in the watchmaking world: manual winding and stop-seconds.
Meanwhile the stop-second allows an accurate measure of the gain-loss ratio of the watch by stopping the second hand when setting the time.
These improvements have certainly placed the Orient Bambino 3 as one of the best watches in the “classic style” category of the watch market between €100 and €250, making no concessions with the aesthetics of its best-known model!
