Description
The Nippone manufacture unveils the second version of its bestseller, the Orient Mako 2 AA02002D, also known as the sweet name FAA02002D9. Often appreciated as the best alternative to the Orient Ray, the Orient Mako 2 has been designed and thought through the many returns of the owners of the first version: the Orient Mako Collection.

Presentation
Having the same qualities as his sister (day / date indicator, unidirectional bezel, solid construction, 200 meters waterproofing), the Orient Mako 2 AA02002D is part of the Divers Watch category of the Japanese.
A detail, however, marks the difference between the Mako and the Ray, this one is on the time indication: the Arabic numerals replace the geometric shapes of the Ray, and are covered with LumiBrite – a phosphorescent material – making the time readable in the darkest places…
Listening to his customers
Often criticized for his second crown at 2 o’clock, the second version was given a slight facelift, making his lines more fluid, less crowded.
This transformation is made possible thanks to the new caliber F6922 Made in Japan, installed in the body of the watch. Benefiting from a manual winding and a stop-second, it will please – with great success – the future owner of this timepiece.

Regarding my purchase at conteenium.com, nothing wrong: fast shipping to Guyana, no additional charges on arrival unlike other purchases on other sites. So no worry on that side.
Concerning the watch:
– seems solid
– nice enough to wear
– take 15 seconds a day (for now …..)
– the luminescence of the hands … not at the top, I would say, the minimum union … in the early morning
– the attachment of the first thread of the crown / crown is perfectible but it passes.
– the reading of the date and day are satisfactory
– The reproach: from certain angles of view, the pretty iridescent blue background becomes granular, as it is visible in the photo moreover, in that the image is not false.
– the big compliment: under all the other angles, the blue in question is magnificent …. and the general aesthetic is successful, with the red arrow of the second hand animates the whole …

Very happy with this first Orient watch.
Excellent value for money: Manufacture watch (case and caliber Orient), manual winding, automatic,
stop second, waterproof 200m, case and quality bracelet, all for less than 200 euros!
The blue background of the dial is sublime and this diver has nothing to envy, in terms of perceived quality, some other brands more prestigious (OMEGA, ROLEX, TUDOR, …).
The factory setting of the F6722 caliber looks good: +10 s / d range and – 5 s / d on the edge, at night.
Once lapped it should be close to + – 0 s / d.
This is my 11th automatic or mechanical watch, my favorite for the moment.

the watch seems quality, to check for use of course, but was delivered without instructions. Unfamiliar with automatic movements, I had to do some research to get things started. Certainly it’s not high-end but I still expected the minimum, namely a record.
I remove only one star for these inconveniences but keeps a small point of disappointment.

Trend to get ahead, the crown and the bezel are hard to handle, and the bezel is quite fragile (scratches).

The watch is very good, especially for the price. Clearly legible, correctly finished, a very beautiful blue, quite acceptable precision (five or six seconds per day). The luminescence is palote however, this would be the only fault.
