The AV-4090-02  is an iconic edition of the British brand Avi-8. Made of quality 316L stainless steel, the housing of this Flyboy resists corrosion thanks to its low carbon structure.

At 4 o’clock, the Japanese movement 8218 suggests a pretty complication: a small second is housed there, offering maximum visibility at the hour and minute hands! This movement from the Miyota manufacture is also visible on the back, thanks to a transparent case back.

Finally, the date display at 3 o’clock is a subtle complication … but still useful.

Details

The dial is an intriguing blend of depth and detail. We find fluorescent white indexes, matched with great successes to the black dial and the white tips of the hands. These colors were obviously not chosen at random. They refer to the wings of British aviation aircraft in the middle of the 20th century …

Easy to grasp and perfectly proportioned to the watch case, it highlights with the greatest success the 42 mm case covered with a mineral crystal.

Finally, fans will appreciate a robust and leather bracelet, offering a solid and comfortable hold over the long term: enjoy!
