Each REC watch includes unique pieces recovered and recycled from iconic and irreparable cars. A concept that the Danish team has named RECOVER, RECYCLE, RECLAIM – or REC, for short.
Due to patina variations in recycled dials, all REC watches are visibly unique, have their own story to tell and include references to the design of the car from which it is derived.

The 901 collection is a mechanical watch with a dial cut directly from a recovered Porsche 901 RWB, the legendary Japanese car tuner Akira Nakai, founder of the Porsche tuning company RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB). Each timepiece thus has a unique rendering and history.
A UNIQUE HISTORY
The 901 has more than 50 years of history captivated in its case.
Paying homage to the Porsche 901 of the 1960s, the dial is made from vintage parts from the German manufacturer, offering several references to the legendary Porche Classic, including this counter located at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock or these indexes on the way with the design of a speedometer …

DURING THE CREATION
The 901 RWB collection is based on and contains a piece of metal from Akira Nakai-San’s two personal Porsche 911 RWBs: Stella Artois – a 12-year-old car in manufacturing and the test bed for all RWB and Rotana projects – its most concentrated and grossest racing car to date.
The two vehicles would continue to define and shape the RWB brand and the Porsche tuning subculture. Akira Nakai, founder of RWB.
The very shape of the 901 collection is strongly inspired by the soft corners and the rear grille characteristic of the iconic Porsche 911.

As an artist, Akira Nakai is determined, uncompromising and driven by passion. He could turn the classic Porsche 911 into something extreme for a living – but his love of these vehicles is the reason the wing parts removed from his original cars are still in his garage in Kashiwa, in Japan.

The 9100 automatic movement in the 901 collection is supplied by the world renowned manufacturer, Miyota. With an average power reserve of 40 hours, you will never run out of energy!
