The Cahill family pays tribute to the famous pioneer of scuba diving, James Cahill. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, he was the first scuba diver to go to New England waters. And it was in New England waters that Cahill continued to serve his profession, his community and his country. To honor Cahill’s deep roots in the region – Spinnaker presents a new version of a Cahill diver.
SPINNAKER CAHILL SP-5075-33
Presentation
The SP-5075 series is the second addition to the Spinnaker Cahill range. Made of marine grade 316L stainless steel, the case of this watch is resistant to corrosion thanks to its low carbon structure.
The hardened mineral glass prevents a tarnished face and ensures quality visibility. The 150-meter waterproof case has a transparent case back, offering a clear view of the rotor and the rest of the Miyota 8215 movement.
Equipped with a screw-down crown, the case waterproof to 150 meters ensures impermeability to any test. The date display at 3 o’clock is a subtle but still useful complication.
The dial itself offering Super Luminova brightness thanks to perforated index cutouts in circular shape …
Japanese movement
The Spinnaker Cahill is equipped with a well-known movement, Miyota, of Japanese origin. With a solidity to any test, this allows an automatic winding of the watch, but not only: it also benefits from a manual winding and a stop-second.
The first allows the movement to be wound up via the crown located at 3 o’clock; by turning it vertically.
The second stop guarantees a complete stop of the second hand when the crown is pulled out by two notches.
Finally, we will appreciate one last detail; which is a real pleasure for any lover of beautiful mechanics, namely a transparent case back. This allows the wearer to observe the mechanism in any condition … and at any time. Pure pleasure!
