The Japanese factory unveils the second version of its best seller, the Orient Ray 2 AA02008d, also known as FAA02008d9. Usually chosen as the best alternative to the Orient Mako, the Orient Ray 2 was conceived and thought thanks to the feedback the owners of the first model (the Orient Ray Collection) gave.

PRESENTATION
The watch has the same properties as its sister (day/date indicator, unidirectional glass, resistant construction, waterproof up to 200m). It is part of the Seiko “Diver watches” category.
However there is a small detail that distinguishes it from the Mako one, on the hour indication: Arabic numerals stand for the geometric forms of the Orient Way, and are covered of LumiBrite – a phosphorescent material – which enables you to read hour even in a dark place…
ATTENTIVE TO CLIENTS
Usually criticized for its 2nd crown on the 2nd hour, the second version had a little lifting, which made its lines more fluent, less cluttered.
This transformation was possible thanks to the new F6922 caliber Made in Japan, and set up inside the watch. Now that it has a manual reassembly and a stop-second, it will successfully make you glad to have it.

Beautiful watch, very well packaged, received in 3 days with Chronopost (the latter should improve parcel tracking because my parcel appeared to be still with the sender for 48 hours, it took an intervention from the seller.)
The sales department is excellent and very responsive.
The gift was present, thank you. A notice or a link to it on this page would have been very useful. (I ended up finding it).
The only downside, if you really have to find one, is that the watch strap is a bit long.
The dial has breathtaking blue reflections, the luminescence is terrible and the black strap makes a beautiful contrast with the silver of the case, much like my two-tone car
Otherwise very happy with my first automatic watch and I recommend this French company which is very professional.

Getting started is not intuitive and the setting of days is approximate because the days are mixed in French and English
