MOVEMENT MANUFACTURE
CALIBER 4R37
The Seiko 4R37 Manufacture movement has 24 jewels and 40 hours power reserve. One of its main qualities is its winding mode: automatic of course, but also manual; in less technical terms, the movement can be recharged via the crown at 3 o’clock, which allows the wearer to increase his power reserve without shaking the watch!
The other relevant and non-negligible point for precision enthusiasts is the presence of the second stop function. This allows you to stop the seconds hand when setting the timepiece, making it easy to calculate the daily “Gain / Loss” differential of the mechanical movement.
At 4 o’clock, there is a date complication, adjustable through the crown also at three o’clock. Everything is protected by a tempered mineral glass “Hardlex“, a specialty of the brand Seiko.

Every review/description of this watch calls it a “GMT” and claims you can set a second time zone. However, I can not for the life of me figure out a way to do that. I do not see a way to set the 24 hour clock independently of the regular time. I don’t know why it’s described as a GMT with 2nd time zone, because it is not.
