YEMA FLYGRAF PILOT M1

Thought out and designed with the advice of professional aerobatic pilot, Sammy Mason, the Flygraf Pilot is inspired by both Flieger watches and military watches from the Second World War for their simplicity and increased readability.

For several years now, the on-board instruments of aeronautics have continued to multiply and progress, YEMA therefore had the idea of designing a watch devoid of any counters that could alter the readability of the watch, even in darkness with treatment of all indexes in Super-Luminova BGW9.

At the same time, this new Flygraf is an extremely versatile watch, equipped with a crown protector and waterproof to 300 meters, in order to accompany aviators and fans of “field watches” in all their adventures in the air and on the ground.

The famous Yema Flygraf Pilot M1 YFLY2020-ACVS. Designed to be a robust and reliable diving watch, it was subsequently chosen to equip the French Air Force pilots in the 70’s.

Manufactured movement

The second-generation in-house caliber YEMA2000 is powered by optimized components offering slightly better performance than competing calibers, offering a daily drift of +/- 10 s / d and a power reserve of 42 h. The caliber YEMA2000 is a self-winding mechanical movement, made in France, entirely designed, developed and assembled in Morteau within the workshops of the Ambre group.

Equipped with an oscillating mass mounted on a ball bearing rotating in both directions, it guarantees a quick winding of the spring and a 42-hour power reserve. To this efficiency gain is added precision, provided by a regulator whose balance beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The stoning totalizes 29 rubies including 2 located at the ends of the axis of the barrel: a technical choice to effectively reduce the friction generally observed at this element on the mechanical movements.

This “house” movement easily passed the so-called “Guillotine” test, subjecting, among other things, the mechanism to a series of shocks on its edge, a guarantee of its solidity.
