The Cahill family pays tribute to noted Scuba pioneer James Cahill. Cahill, who was born in Salem, Massachusetts was the first scuba diver to dive the waters off New England. And it was in the New England waters where Cahill continued to serve his profession, his community and his country. To pay tribute to Cahill’s deep roots to the region – Spinnaker introduces a new iteration of a Cahill Diver.

PRESENTATION
When duty calls you, answer with reliability and precision.
These are the two qualities that inspired the creation of the Cahill automatic watch. Its rugged design pays tribute to the pioneers of aviation, ready to do anything to conquer the sky. While its design is inspired by a range of colors and matching dials more inspired by the military to offer a more subtle perspective tactically.
The New England dial has been reoriented and redesigned to offer a more distinct utilitarian aesthetic. Brushed Arabic markers at very clear hours apply a perfect balance between square luminous indexes and crosses on the dial. The “Mercedes” hour and minute hands are characterized by the Swiss Super luminova, which is also generously used on the dial and bezel to enhance visibility in low light.
With a matching waterproof sewn vintage leather strap, the New England Cahill is a beautiful update and a welcome addition to the Spinnaker vintage scuba divers range.
On the front of the watch, there is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with antireflection treatment! Another pleasant detail, the crown at 3 o’clock, the pin buckle and the rotor are all marked with the emblem of the mark. And if the exterior of the timepiece is successful, its interior is also a figure of excellence …
JAPAN MOVEMENT
The Spinnaker Cahill is equipped with a well known movement, Miyota, Japanese origin. Solid all-proof, it allows an automatic winding of the watch, but not only: it also benefits from a manual winding and a stop-second.
The first allows a reassembly of the movement via the crown located at 3 o’clock; turning it vertically.
The stop-second meanwhile, guarantees a total stop of the seconds hand when the crown is pulled two notches.
Finally, we will appreciate one last detail; which is a real pleasure for any lover of beautiful mechanics, namely a transparent caseback. This last allows the wearer to observe the mechanism in any condition … and at any time. Pure pleasure!
