In addition to its sapphire crystal, its reinforced steel case and its home movement, the Asian brand succeeds in a real tour de force teasing a little more the highly competitive market of accessible and qualitative watchmaking. Possessing the same qualities as its rival, the Orient Mako (daytime indicator, unidirectional bezel, solid construction, and waterproofness at 200 meters), the Sea-gull Ocean Star 816.523 is part of the Divers Watch category include “diver” of the Chinese manufacture.
A notorious detail however marks the difference with the Mako, it is on the glass equipped with a small magnifying glass magnifying the date function at 3 o’clock.
At night, we will appreciate the Lumibrite – a phosphorescent material – making the time readable, even in the darkest recesses …
Manufacture movement
The ST2130 caliber equips this timepiece. This allows automatic, manual winding and is equipped with a stop-second.
The waterproofness of the watch is ensured by a screwed crown located at 3 o’clock. It is beautifully engraved with the logo of the brand.
