Presentation
Stick index, logo in black and date window at 6 o’clock offer a perfect balance to the dial, making it harmonious and sporty.
Two dials are engraved at 3 and 9 o’clock and refer respectively to the small seconds and minutes counters.
The colors, meanwhile, are chosen with great care: the dial with shades of gray is elegantly highlighted with the silver of the case and hands. Finally, the indexes and the name LIP Automatic Chronograph in black here provide a final contrast to this sober, modern and infinitely attractive case!
Design
The first particularity of the LIP Rally is undoubtedly its reinforced glass, giving the case a curved front face. This time, a sapphire crystal was chosen. Once worn, the “round” design of the case hugs the wrist brilliantly, allowing the watch to be easily slipped under a fitted shirt, or a sweater tightened to the forearm …
The black calfskin strap is robust and timeless. You will no doubt appreciate the high-end butterfly buckle, allowing the timepiece to be quickly put on the wrist.
Renowned movement
Under the hood is a Seiko NE88 movement, an automatic chronograph with column wheel from Seiko’s TMI collection which was first introduced in 2014. The NE series is considered the “Premium Mechanical” series, with a finer workmanship and greater precision than other series.
The NE88 caliber has a complication located at 3 o’clock, offering the wearer of the timepiece a date window.
