Humism is as much an art studio as it is a watch brand, seeing the watch as a creative canvas with unique design possibilities. A watch is more than a timepiece. At Humism, we consider the watch as a canvas of art. A unique and stimulating art canvas. We want to reinvent the design of the watch, to create a timepiece that makes the most of the uniqueness of this medium. And the most unique and fundamental part of a watch, as we see it, is the movement.
Inspiration
We are inspired by the Kinetic Art movement, vibrant at the beginning of the 20th century. Kinetic artists broke away from traditional static artwork and created art that produces beauty through movement.
These innovative visual experiences have created new interactive relationships between the work and the viewer.
HUMISM HELIOS YELLOW KINETIC ART
Perhaps our most ambitious design to date, this design draws you in and baffles you. A deceptive symmetry creates the illusion of simultaneous expansion and contraction. The design briefly returns to equilibrium, before resuming its journey. We are inspired by the potential of using the movement of time to create visual beauty, and perhaps even philosophical meaning. We want to create kinetic sculptures for your wrist.
