AVI-8 HAWKER HARRIER II

The Hawker Harrier Ace of Spades refers to US Marine Attack’s 231 Marine Corps United Corps Marine Corps which is piloting the evolution of Hawker Harrier’s AV-8B Harrier II McDonnell Douglas.

This version of the Harrier was launched in the early 1990s. US Army General Norman Schwarzkopf said the Harrier / AV-8B was one of the most important weapons of the 1991 Gulf War. .

He continues to serve the needs of the Ace of Spades squadron to date in various combat theaters, providing close air support to ground troops and conducting armed reconnaissance.

Measuring 44mm in diameter, the watch is built around a solid, well-constructed case with a flat, scratch-resistant sapphire lens. A crown set at 2 o’clock has a star sign as a badge of the US Air Force badge marking his eponymous plane.

The Ace of Spades dial is a representation of the best of the AVI-8 brand. Composed of more than 30 unique pieces, each part of the dial has been carefully designed and arranged according to Harrier’s inspiration.

The passage of seconds is indicated by a personalized custom disc located just below the 3 o’clock position. The 24-hour sub-dial was constructed with a series of layers and indexes that were individually faceted and applied with brush and polishing finishes.

Details

The dial is an intriguing blend of depth and detail. We find matt white indexes, matched with great success on the black and blue dial and the light gray tips of the hands. These colors were obviously not chosen at random. They refer to the cockpits of the AV-8B Harrier II.

Another exciting detail: the serrated crown at 2 o’clock is stamped with the Harrier II logo. Easy to grasp and perfectly proportioned to the case of the watch.
