Back in 1959, when Founder CK Woo was still an apprentice, he received a request from a customer to imprint the message “Martha 1959” on the dial of his old Diver watch that he was wearing. He told CK Woo that his wife had passed away and he would like to be reminded of her every day. After several weeks, CK Woo successfully imprinted the words on the dial of the customer’s watch and he referred many of his friends who did similar personalisation of their expensive timepieces with CK Woo.
As he thrived upon this trend, he saved up and started his own watch brand in 1970, focusing on producing quality timepieces that are made with meaning. With a semi-open black dial redesigned in depth, the design of this watch offers us at first glance a very singular and contemporary style, with a 44 mm non-crown case, to the delight of the wrists of medium and large sizes.
What a real pleasure to continuously observe each beat, each gear that this original automatic watch reveals to us … Rotor, barrel, balance, hairspring … all the components can be observed, studied or stopped by the wearer of the timepiece at each time. instant.
In addition to its elegance and its most impressive level of finish, Aries Gold accompanies its timepiece with exceptional mechanics:
A caliber NH70 with rather singular characteristics is grafted onto it, offering the possibility of winding the mechanism manually via the crown located at 3 o’clock.
